My career as a competitive athlete began in upstate New York where I played basketball and soccer through middle and high school. Heading to college in 2001, I knew I wanted to continue competitive athletics and, naturally, thought that would be with one of my existing pursuits. However, at just under 6 feet tall with an athletic build, I caught the eye of the rowing coach walking across campus one day; he stopped me and said that I had to come out for the team. I contemplated his proposition for a couple days and decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. I had no idea, at the time, that this decision would have such a significant influence on my life path. Nine years and three failed attempts later, I made my first of what would be seven consecutive United States Women’s National Rowing team appearances. During my tenure on the team I won five world championship titles and two Olympic Gold Medals (London 2012, Rio 2016) in the Women’s 8+.
Now retired from rowing, I continue to have a passion for total health and wellness. This passion now drives me to help you realize your goals, both athletically and professionally.
